This site is a tribute to Marilyn Harrop, who passed away on 16 July 2024 after living with cancer for several years. 

Marilyn was a teacher, colleague, friend, and mentor to many. She taught and encouraged thousands of young people. She travelled. She danced. She was proud to serve as national president of her trade union. She lived her life to the full - and sometimes a bit more than that.

All of Marilyn's friends and colleagues are warmly welcome to attend her funeral and committal in Llandudno on 5 August, as well as the memorial service which will follow at St. Paul's Church in Ryhope, on 2 September.
